You do not need to bring a firearm to class. Please notify us if you are carrying a concealed handgun. If you are, the firearm MUST be unloaded; we will safety check it to ensure it is unloaded. G3 will provide firearms for the handling exercises. You may bring your personal firearm for the range portion of the course, but this is not mandatory. G3 will have firearms for you to use. Ask the Chief Instructor if the firearm you are bringing is appropriate for the course. Make sure it is cleaned prior to class so as to avoid any malfunctions which may distract your focus from shooting during the range session.
- I've never held a gun before. Is the Basic Pistol Course good for me?
Yes. This class is designed for the person who is unfamiliar with guns.
- Do I need a Handgun to take the class?
No, you do not need a handgun to take the class. We can provide you with a handgun for the class and give you instruction as to what handgun will be best suited for you after the class is finished.
- Where is the range where we hold the Live Fire Portion of the course?
We utilize different ranges in Northern Virginia. We schedule the range portion of the course in order to meet every individual's need or preference.
- What do you provide as part of your class?
We provide the targets, range to hold the class, classroom, hearing protection, handgun if needed, eye protection if needed. Please see the course description for our policy regarding ammunition.
- What Certification do you have?
Our instructors are NRA Certified Instructors.
- How do I sign-up for a course?
You can sign-up for the class of your choice using our event scheduler. Visit our class schedule then find a class that you would like to attend. Click on the class name of that class and then you will see a "Sign-up Now" button. After filling out the form you will recieve an e-mail with further instructions on completeing your registration.
- I've signed up for a course. How do I pay?
After you sign-up, you will recieve an email shortly with an activation link. Click on the "Activate" link and this will confirm your registration and send you another email with your payment instructions. If you are not seeing this e-mail you can use our online payment page. Be sure you select the appropriate course if you use this method.
- What is your refund policy?
If you have paid for a class and would like a refund before the class starts you can request one by using our contact form. You will receive your money back less 25% for NRA Course Materials. If you miss a class or can no longer attend, you can request to re-schedule but will not receive a refund.
